Our mission at Hello Art Hatchery is to encourage art in our community by helping to make the supplies and materials needed for creating art accessible to all. I cannot think of another organization in the greater Madison area that is more in tune with our values than Little Picassos.
Little Picassos provides access and opportunity for low-income children to learn about art, artists, and art history. They create a safe and nurturing place that allows children to experiment with art-making materials while also giving them a chance to explore their feelings and grow their sense of self through making art.
This free program is open to children in Kindergarten through 6th grade, and classes are held in two area community centers. As a non-profit, Little Picassos relies entirely on generous grant funding and donations to provide its programming.
Each year’s program ends with a gallery opening where the children can show off their work and celebrate their accomplishments.
